Champions League fixtures and TV rights by country

The league phase puts most of the competition on two evenings a week, and the answer to “where can I watch it” changes at every border. Kick-offs here are in UTC; the rights holders we can state with a source are the UK, Ireland and the United States.

We may receive compensation from operators if you sign up via the links on this page. This does not affect our ratings or which operators we list. How we make money

Rights holders — United Kingdom

TNT Sports carries the majority of matches in 2026/27; Amazon Prime Video holds 17 matches with first pick on Tuesday nights. Which of the two has a given fixture is published by the broadcasters when the matchday schedule is confirmed.

Bookmakers pricing the Champions League

Where else it airs

  • Republic of Ireland Virgin Media Television / Premier Sports
  • United States Paramount+ / CBS / CBS Sports Network (selected matches)

Three markets, three different answers

Champions League rights are sold country by country, which is why a single "where to watch" answer does not exist. For the three markets this site can state with a source:

  • United Kingdom. TNT Sports carries the majority of matches, including the knockout rounds and the final; Amazon Prime Video holds 17 matches with first pick on Tuesdays. No free-to-air live coverage.
  • Republic of Ireland. Virgin Media Television holds free-to-air rights through the current season, with the remaining matches on Premier Sports. Ireland is the outlier here: it is the only one of the three where a substantial share of the competition is genuinely free at the point of viewing — and that changes at the end of the cycle.
  • United States. CBS Sports holds the exclusive English-language rights. Every match streams on Paramount+, with selected matches also on CBS or CBS Sports Network.

If your country is not in that list, we do not have a rights holder we can stand behind and we would rather leave a gap than fill it with a guess. The competition's own site publishes broadcast partners per territory.

Reading the kick-off times

League-phase matches are played on Tuesday and Wednesday in two slots. The times above are UTC: add an hour for UK summer time, two for most of continental Europe in summer, and subtract four or more for North America depending on your zone. A 19:00 UTC kick-off in autumn is 20:00 in London, 21:00 in Madrid and 15:00 in New York. On the closing matchdays every match starts simultaneously, at which point the useful question stops being the channel and becomes which feed inside your service you want.

What a bookmaker stream actually is

Live streaming is advertised by bookmakers in all of these markets, and the conditions rarely differ:

  • It requires a funded account or a qualifying bet, usually within the last 24 hours. It is tied to betting, not to a subscription.
  • Rights are territorial and change between seasons. Premium European club football with exclusive pay rights is seldom in a bookmaker's stream package at all.
  • The picture lags the broadcast. Betting in-play against a delayed feed puts you behind the market by definition.

Choose an operator on price, market depth and withdrawal behaviour; choose a broadcaster on rights. They answer different questions.

Why we do not link to unlicensed streams

Searches for free Champions League streams return mostly unlicensed sites. We do not name or link them: distributing unlicensed broadcasts is unlawful in every market we cover, and those sites are a documented route to malware and payment fraud. Naming the legitimate rights holder — including saying that it costs money — is the more useful answer and the only one we are willing to publish.

18+ and gambling responsibly

18+ (or the legal age where you are). Which operators are available depends on your country, and each publishes its own licensing. BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy offer free support internationally. A subscription is the price of watching the football; a bet is not.
