NFL 2026 season and Super Bowl LXI on TV

The 2026 regular season runs from 9 September 2026 to 10 January 2027, the play-offs begin on 16 January, and Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood — the latest calendar date on which the league has ever staged the game. That one fixture is the largest single betting day in the year for an English-language audience, and it is the reason this page exists in a season where the rest of the schedule sits in the small hours.

The weekly shape is real: a Sunday slate, a Thursday game and a Monday game. In Helsinki the Sunday afternoon window starts at 20:00 and the late games run past 05:00; in Dublin subtract two hours. A viewer who wants one game a week can have it at a civilised hour; a viewer who wants the whole slate is committing to an all-nighter.

Free-to-air in two countries, a subscription in the rest

Britain and Ireland are unusually well served. In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports carries more than half of all games, while Channel 5 shows two Sunday-evening games a week, Thanksgiving, the London and Dublin fixtures, three play-off games and — for the first time free-to-air — the Super Bowl. DAZN carries every game through NFL Game Pass. In Ireland, Virgin Media Television has at least twenty-two games a season free-to-air, including eighteen Sunday 21:00 kick-offs, three play-off games and the Super Bowl, with Sky and DAZN covering the rest. All four rows come from the league's own where-to-watch page for this season.

For Finland we found nothing. Viaplay's Finnish sport index returned no mention of the league, and neither the league's British page nor the season's encyclopedia entry names a Finnish partner. The internationally available Game Pass on DAZN is the honest answer for a reader in Helsinki, and we say so as a gap rather than inventing a channel.

Betting a spread sport, not a moneyline sport

The market here is built around the point spread and the total, and the arithmetic that follows is unlike anything in European football:

• Key numbers rule. Margins of three and seven points are the most common in the sport. Moving a spread from -2.5 to -3.5 changes its value far more than the half-point suggests, which is exactly why line shopping pays here.
• The price attached to the line matters as much as the line. A -110 and a -115 on the same number are different bets; over a season the difference is most of your margin.
• Injury reports are published and priced. Quarterback status is public days ahead, so the edge is rarely in the news itself — it is in which book adjusts more slowly.
• Same-game combinations are the house's favourite product. They are correlated bets sold at a margin that is much higher than a straight spread. Enjoyable, expensive.
