MLB 2027 dates, US TV and the labour risk
Baseball is the poorest fit on this site for a European reader, and saying so is more useful than pretending otherwise. This page carries the dates we can source, the American broadcast split, the labour question hanging over next season, and the market mechanics that catch newcomers out.

Date precision: day
MLB is a calendar-year league. The 2026 season's postseason falls inside the 2026/27 window (Oct-Nov 2026); the next full season starts 24 Mar 2027 and is 'scheduled … contingent on a new collective bargaining agreement being signed by December 1, 2026' — a real risk to any content planned against it.

No bookmaker here has told us it prices baseball, so we are not naming one. These are our highest-rated books generally — check the market exists in their sportsbook, and that they accept players from your country, before you deposit.
A calendar-year league with a contract question attached
Baseball does not run on the European season model. The 2026 post-season falls in October and November 2026, and the next full campaign is scheduled to start on 24 March 2027 and finish on 26 September 2027. The word "scheduled" is doing real work: the source we opened states the season is contingent on a new collective bargaining agreement being signed by 1 December 2026. A labour dispute would not shorten a page; it would delete a season. Anyone planning bets, subscriptions or content around next spring should treat that date as the first thing to watch.
The American broadcast picture, marked for what it is
Every rights row we hold for this competition comes from an encyclopedia article rather than a broadcaster's own page, and each is flagged accordingly above. As recorded: ESPN holds a thirty-game national package and becomes the exclusive home of the league's streaming product, with in-market streaming for six clubs. NBCUniversal carries Sunday Night Baseball, a Peacock-exclusive Sunday morning package, an Opening Day primetime game and the entire Wild Card round. Netflix has one Opening Night game a season plus the Home Run Derby. Fox, FS1 and TBS keep their long-standing packages, including the World Series.
For the United Kingdom, Ireland and Finland we found no rights holder at all. The Finnish broadcaster indexes we opened returned no baseball listing, and no British or Irish broadcaster page surfaced the league. That is not an omission on this page; it is the finding.
Why the market punishes football habits
A bettor arriving from European football meets three rules that do not exist there:
- Listed pitchers. A bet placed "with listed pitchers" is void if a named starter is changed; a bet placed "action" stands at the revised price. Books differ on which is the default, and that difference decides whether your stake comes back.
- The run line is fixed at 1.5. Instead of a moving handicap you get one number and a price that swings wildly, which makes shopping between books unusually valuable.
- Rain and length rules. Settlement depends on how many innings are completed, and each operator writes that clause slightly differently.
- Volume is the trap. Roughly 2,400 regular-season games invite betting out of boredom rather than opinion — the single most reliable way to hand a house edge your bankroll.
What this page is for
It is a reference, not a recommendation. We carry it because the map of competitions this site tracks should be complete and honest, including the entries where the answer is "there is no European broadcaster, no measured demand, and a real chance the season moves". No bookmaker on this site has a record saying it prices the league, so the list above is empty and the page stays out of search.
If you want a market with better coverage and a friendlier clock, the Premier League page is where almost every operator here actually competes on price. The full betting-site list shows the roster, and the betting guide covers the staking and margin arithmetic that applies to any sport, including this one.
18+ and knowing the ground you stand on
18+, or the legal age where you live. Betting a league you cannot watch, on rules you have not read, at prices you cannot compare is three disadvantages stacked. If you want to bet it anyway, read the operator's baseball rules first, and keep the responsible gambling page within reach.
This page stays out of search until it carries at least three bookmakers whose own record says they price this competition, alongside a real calendar.
