11 sportsbooks compared below. Each entry states the welcome offer and its turnover condition, the pricing margin we observe on mainstream markets, and the deposit and withdrawal rails the cashier supports for international accounts.

How the ranking is built

Supervision is a floor, not a differentiator — every book in this table answers to some authority. What separates them is price, market depth and whether the cashier behaves when the account holder, the bank and the licence sit in three different countries.

The five things we weigh

  • Price, measured as margin — Add the implied probabilities of every outcome in a market. A 1X2 book totalling 103% keeps three points; one totalling 108% keeps eight. That gap is your long-run result, and it dwarfs any sign-up offer within a season. We sample mainstream football, tennis and basketball markets rather than trusting advertised "best odds" claims.
  • Offer terms over offer size — A modest free bet at 1x turnover beats a large matched deposit at 10x every time. We also read the minimum-odds clause, which is where most offers quietly become unclaimable.
  • Market depth by region — Coverage is not uniform. Books built for one continent carry thin lines on another's leagues, and in-play breadth collapses outside their core sports. We check the leagues an international audience actually follows, not just the flagship competitions.
  • Cashier and currency — Which rails accept deposits, which return withdrawals, and whether the balance is held in your currency or converted on every movement. Conversion applied twice is a standing cost that no promotion offsets.
  • Limits and account treatment — How quickly stakes are restricted on winning accounts, and whether limits differ by country. A book with excellent prices you can only use for small stakes is priced accordingly in our ranking.

Free bet or deposit match — which is worth taking

Almost every sign-up offer is one of two structures, and they are not close in value:

  • Free bet — A stake is credited and only the profit returns to your balance, so a €50 free bet at odds of 3.00 pays €100, not €150. Usually carries no turnover requirement, which makes it the cleaner of the two. See sportsbooks with free bets.
  • Deposit match — The book matches what you pay in, commonly 100% to a cap, and attaches a turnover multiple plus a minimum price per selection. Larger on paper, far more expensive to unlock. See all current betting offers.

Turnover requirements, stated plainly

The multiple tells you how much must be staked before bonus funds convert to cash. A 3x requirement on €100 means €300 of settled bets. Read it together with the minimum-odds clause: at a 1.80 floor you cannot grind the requirement out on short prices, so each cycle of turnover carries the book's full margin. Lower is always better, and a genuine 0x offer is best.

Choosing on something other than the bonus

An offer is a one-off. Price is every bet you will ever place at that book. Three things decide the long-run outcome:

  1. The price itself — Take a selection quoted at 2.05 rather than 1.95: the same judgement, the same risk, roughly 5% more return on every winner. Over a few hundred settled bets that gap decides whether the account finishes up or down. Holding accounts at several books and taking the best available number is the single highest-return habit in betting; line shopping costs nothing but a few seconds per bet.
  2. Depth of markets — Handicaps, totals, player props and corner or card markets. More lines per fixture means more chances that one of them is mispriced, and mispricing is where any edge comes from.
  3. Getting paid — How the withdrawal behaves from your country, how long verification takes and whether a currency conversion eats the margin you worked for.

Popular categories

The table can be narrowed to the kind of betting you actually do:

Habits that separate long-term winners

None of these depend on which book you sign up with. All of them survive a change of country, currency and regulator:

  • Never accept the first price you see — Compare at least three books on the same selection. A 5% pricing gap on a mainstream market is common and is pure return.
  • Bet less often, and larger — Consistently profitable bettors place a handful of considered bets a week, not thirty reactive ones.
  • Stake a fixed 1–3% of the bankroll — Flat staking survives variance that percentage-of-current-balance chasing does not. Our guide to bankroll management works through the sizing.
  • Treat accumulators as entertainment — Margin compounds with every leg, so a five-fold at a 5%-margin book concedes roughly a quarter of its fair value before a ball is kicked.
  • Judge the bet, not the result — Whether you beat the closing price is a far better signal of whether you are betting well than a month of profit or loss.
  • Keep the bankroll in one currency — Splitting a roll across accounts in different currencies means every transfer between books pays a conversion spread.

Questions international bettors ask

Is betting income taxed?
It depends on your country of residence, not on where the sportsbook holds its licence. Several jurisdictions exempt recreational winnings; others tax them once betting looks like a trade. The book will not deduct anything for you, so confirm the local rule.
Free bet or deposit match — which is actually worth more?
A free bet returns profit only — the credited stake is not paid back — but rarely carries a turnover condition. A deposit match adds cash to the balance and then locks it behind a turnover multiple and a minimum price. The free bet is usually worth more per euro advertised.
How quickly can I withdraw?
E-wallets and open-banking transfers generally settle within a day, card refunds in one to five banking days, and cross-border wires can take longer and carry an intermediary fee. The first withdrawal is the slow one because verification runs alongside it.
Should I hold accounts at several sportsbooks?
Yes. Three to five accounts let you take the best available price on every selection, which is line shopping and is the most reliable improvement available to a recreational bettor.
What does a 3x turnover requirement mean?
You must place settled bets totalling three times the bonus before the funds convert. On a €50 bonus that is €150 of turnover — and if the terms set a minimum price of 1.80, every one of those bets has to clear that floor to count.
Why do odds differ depending on where I sign up?
Books run separate pricing, market lists and promotion sets per licensed territory, and some leagues or bet types are withheld entirely in certain countries. The brand is the same; the product is not. Check the country list in the terms before you deposit.
