A token is not cash, and the difference sets your strategy
Every bookmaker token on this page shares one property: it returns profit and keeps the stake. That single rule inverts how you should use it. With your own money, a short-priced selection protects capital. With a token, the capital is already gone — a winning bet at 1.40 hands back forty percent of face value and the token is finished either way.
The arithmetic sets the range. Multiply the face value by the odds, subtract the face value, and that is your maximum return. At 2.00 you double the face value into profit of one unit; at 4.00 you make three. Push far beyond that and the strike rate falls faster than the return climbs, which is why the useful band sits between about 2.50 and 5.00.
